Spiritu Sanctu (the name given to Mobile Bay in 1519, by Alonzo Pineada) means "Holy Spirit".

Having been fortunate enough to grow up in Mobile and our beautiful bay, I've never lacked for aesthic subject matter.

Mobile Bay and its tributaries inspire much of my work and I can only imagine the "Spiritual experience" Alonzo had while nameing and mapping the area nearly 500 years ago.

I hope these paintings express my enthusiasm about Mobile and our "natural resource",
Mobile Bay.
